Entertaining. The film is a remake of telugu super hit with the same title. Its a family movie, with producer, director and the hero, all coming from the same family. The movie is an Oldest Wine but is from a Brand new Bottle. The old story, of Lovers getting opposed by the Girl's family but the Screenplay pushes us to the Seat Edge, as the movie runs. The heroine Sada (looks good and has acted well) is engaged to her relative, Gopi Chand(the villain), when they were children. However, Gopi and Sada, never get along well, infact, they challenge never to see each others face, when they were children. Sada, now grows up, goes to college. Enters our hero, Ravi (good loking, simple, his expressions during the climax fight, is good) as her classmate. Ravi and Sada fall in love. Sada's family opposes, they decided to fix Sada's marriage with Gopi. Gopi, though rejects the offer initially, accepts the proposal after seeing Sada. He warns, Sada that she should marry him and him only. As the marriage, nears, the tension in the theatre too goes up. What happened in the end?? is for u all to enjoy in theatre. Sada's, "Poya Po.... Poooooo" dialogue, where she stretches, her right hand, head tilted towards the right hand shoulder, with her eyes closed, is well appreciated by audience. The climax, fight, where Sada, asks Ravi, to whip Gopi, telling him that she needs to watch and enjoy, Ravi whipping Gopi, is a beautiful scene. The divine, strength that Ravi gets in the climax is bit too much. The music by R P Patnaik, is good, especially the background score, the songs, "Thiruvizhanu Vantha", "Vandi Vandi" and "Kavithaye Theriyuma", will linger in our ears for this year. The director, Raja, hasn't done any innovation from the original, he just copied the original, scene for scene. Jayam will be a hit.
