Remark: Saamy got Audience's Arul but Arul will not be a Saamy

ARUL comes from the same team that made the Super Hit, Saamy. Vikram is Arul (has lost weight for this movie and has played his role with ease) is a happy go lucky character. He has one Principle in life ie. he cannot stand foul language (what a crazy theme for a movie). His punch dialogue "Anniyayam panna Andavanuku Pidikathu, Asingama Pesna Aruluku Pidikathu" has been over done, hence loose its initial charm. Jyothika, comes as his neighbour, the initial scenes where she dupes him as a One Legged girl, is interesting. Pasupathi(Virumandi fame, but nothing special here) is a local MLA, supported by his Minister brother. The movie is set in Coimbatore. Here is a perfect ingredients for a great masala, lets see how it goes.. Pasupathi goes on doing all that a don would do and Vikram spends time with local youths and Jyothika. As we tend to a get feeling after an hour, what the movie is upto, Arul enters into a fist cuff, with Pasupathi's men. Soon we get the one on one between Arul and Pasupathi. Arul whips him and kills him! Arul is arrested, the doctor, in his report states, Pasupathi died because of excess drinking. Pasupathi's brother is shocked, comes to coimbatore to finish Arul. In comes, KS Ravikumar, his macchan and trade union leader. He makes Arul a bid Dada in no time(?) and he becomes a rich man. he now has 10 cars, 100 supporters etc. The villain continues to haunt him. How Arul overcomes all odds forms the rest of the movie The movie is a disappointment and that includes the music by Harris Jeyaraj. The movie one gets a feel, has been taken in a hurry, without applying any thought or logic. The climax duel and the way Arul gets released (with the usual "After 6 Months" statement), will make even a 3year old kid, laugh. ARUL is a disappointment
