KAADHAL(/5)
: Bharath & Sandhya
Music: Joshua Sridhar
Direction: Balaji Sakthivel
Remark: Go fall in Love....again and again

Before writing this review, we thought whether we should write this review, coz we may not be able to do full justice. Than wasting time reading this review, please rush to your nearest theatre and watch the original. The movie has come without any fanfare or hype and with all new faces. The movie is a simple love story about the adolescent love of a +2 Girl and a poor mechanic boy. Bharath (superb performance) is a mechanic in Madurai. The Madurai slang, throughout the movie, is a great effort. He runs a shop with help from his assistant, Karatandi (well that kid, will live in the memory of Tamil Film Audience for years to come). The way the kid fools Bharath's friend, with Tea and Pepsi, is an excellent example of director's imagination level. Sandhya (a mature face for a fresher, but too big a performance), is the daughter of a local don (his face, his expressions, his performance…we will stop talking about performances coz even the bikes in the mechanic shop has acted well). Sandhya's father has a younger brother with only one hand. Bharath and Sandya elope and tthen comes the flash back. Sandhya and Bharath, meet in an accident, Sandhya falls for him, after a few encounters, these scenes have been coined and executed,to perfection. The movie, now runs fast and the love scenes between the two, will certainly take one to their school days. This was the life everyone would have lived or watched. Sandhya's family, decide to get her married, so they Elope. End of flashback. Sandhya's family now finds out their love. The scenes, where the Don's, brother, gets the sympathy from everyone, is too good a performance. Bharath and Sandhya, land in the Land for All, Chennai.. Bharath, takes Sandhya to his old friend, who stays in a Triplicane Mansion. We will stop telling the story and not spoil your movie experience. The movie ends, with the theatre clapping and whistling to full throtle, appreciating a movie which is an example for perfection.. The movie is a fresh feeling to watch.. The actors are new, hence we never get any imitation or repetition.. The big asset is the music by new face, Joshua Sridhar. The songs are situational. The first song, where Sandhya attains her age, is a neat illustration of South Tamil Nadu's culture and life style. The background score, is heart touching, great effort. The cinematography by Vijay Milton, is pleasing. The director, Balaji Sakthivel, will be taken to cloud nine, with this movie. One cannot find anything bad abt. his effort as a Director, no scene is stretched, the performance is perfect, the music is great, the cinematography is pleasing, editing is with a positive flow, the story is simple and enjoyable and his screenplay is beyond imagination. The movie, will touch one's heart and will leave u stunned as u come out of the theatre. The movie is a perfect commercial presentation, of a good love story. The movie will definitely be a smash hit.
